It's March 15th! Time for Scripture Memory #6!

Oh my word, it's March 15th!

Time to check in and share our verses.  By now, everyone should have memorized at least 5 verses.  And if you're just now joining us...that's fine...welcome!  Jump right in and start memorizing God's Word with us!

So how is everyone doing with memorizing their verses?  Do you sometimes find yourself standing in line somewhere, or sitting in traffic, and all of a sudden your memory verse washes over you?  Time and time again the Lord is bringing His Word to my mind as I'm out and about in this world.  Thank you, Jesus!

I'm having a wonderful time memorizing God's Word alongside you and I'm looking forward to seeing the verses the Lord has pressed upon your hearts.  This time I have really struggled between committing to Deuteronomy 7:6 or Esther 4:14b.

So that means I'm doing them both!

Here they are and both are from the Holman translation.

Deuteronomy 7:6
For, Karen, you are a holy people belonging to the LORD your God. The LORD your God has chosen you to be His own possession out of all the peoples on the face of the earth.

and

Esther 4:14b
"Who knows, perhaps you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this."

Now it's your turn!

Love y'all so much!
Karen

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. 2 Cor 1:3,4 (NKJV)

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord,"plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Jeremiah 29: 11-13

Some plans take a long time to come to pass. We need to continue to pray, be diligent, and obey God. In His word, He promises us a good future, and a reason to have hope. I just need to trust Him for both.

"For as many as are the promises of God, in Him they are yes; therefore also through Him is our Amen to the glory of God through us. Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and anointed us is God, who also sealed us and gave us the Spirit in our hearts as a pledge."
2Corinthians 1:20-22

God's promises to me are already "Yes" and "Amen" in Christ! Thank you, Jesus.

Joshua 1:9 (New International Version)
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.

Love this verse!

The following 3 scriptures have spoken to me over the last weeks of a very hard, painful road in my life these days...

1Peter 5:7
Cast all of your anxiety on Him because he cares for you.

Joshua 1:9
Have I not commanded you (Alesia)? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.

Deuteronomy 31:8
The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you (Alesia) nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.

They all basically say the same thing, but what a constant reminder He gives us throughout the scriptures. What a beautiful God we have that wants us to know that no matter what we are experiencing in hardship, hurt, sorrow or pain, he is there with us no matter what. I love you Jesus!

1 Corinthians 16: 13-14
"Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong. Do everything in love."

I'm still working on memorizing this one, but it is such a good one! An awesome reminder of the number one thing - Do everything in LOVE.
