Attitude!

Hi Friends!

This week at Bible study I will be teaching about the life of Rahab.   Because of Rahab I have found myself in not only the book of Joshua, but also in Exodus, Numbers and Hebrews.  And, as much as I want to turn this into a post about Rahab, and what God is teaching me, I will remain focused and share my Scripture Memory verse!

Scripture says in Numbers 14:24 from The Message,

24 "But my servant Caleb—this is a different story. He has a different spirit; he follows me passionately. I'll bring him into the land that he scouted and his children will inherit it.

The NIV translation uses the word "attitude" instead of spirit.  "He has a different attitude".  That speaks so strongly to me.

I want to be like Caleb.

I'm asking God to give me a passionate attitude for Him and his truth!  I want to follow Him passionately and fully.  Because of Caleb's "attitude" the Lord promised He would bring him into the land and would bless both Caleb AND his children.   That promise to Caleb gives me hope for my life and the lives of my children.

What is God showing you this week?  What Scripture has He placed on your heart?

Blessings,
Karen

Isaiah 43:2 NASB
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, nor will the flame burn you.

Praise God!

More Scriptures on GRACE for me.

Ephesians 1: 7-8 (NIV)

In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace that he lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding.

Isaiah 43:18-19 NASB
"Do not call to mind the former things, or ponder the things of the past. Behold, I will do something new, now it will spring forth; will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, rivers in the desert."

I believe you, Lord Jesus! Nothing is too hard for you. Help me to be ready for You to move.

2 Samuel 22:31 NJKV

As for God, His way is perfect,
The word of the Lord is proven;
He is a shield to all who trust
in Him.

Habakkuk 2:3 MSG And then God answered: "Write this. Write what you see. Write it out in big block letters so that it can be read on the run. This vision-message is a witness pointing to what's coming, wait. It's on it's way. It will come right on time

I've written this in big letters on my fridge! I need to know that God moves at the perfect right time!

Psalm 18:3 ESV

"I call upon the lord, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies."

I know I can't do anything on my own accord. I need the lord every day to overcome my flesh. Thank you!!!

Here's my verse: Philippians 3: 13-14 NIV
Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Romans 4:20-21 (New International Version, ©2011)
20 Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, 21 being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.

Chris' verse:
